Bertie

Bertie hails from the UK and worked at PlayStation as a writer and narrative director of video games. Her first game, “The Getaway”, was nominated for a BAFTA. In 2005 she joined forces with Bert to create Bert&Bertie, a female writing-directing duo with their own unique style of storytelling. After closing Sundance Film festival their latest feature Troop Zero was released in January this year to critical acclaim and commercial success for Amazon Studios. Named Variety’s 10 Directors to Watch, and recognized by the DGA as one of the few female directing teams, B&B's narrative work is award winning in both the dramatic and comedic genres having earned them awards at many festivals and having been short-listed for the Oscars. The duo recently directed on prestigious TV shows such as Showtime’s ‘Kidding' starring Jim Carey and Hulu’s 'The Great' starring Elle Fanning. Their commercial work for Sony, Microsoft, the U.N., & BBC spans every medium from live-action to animation. Their next feature is an Elizabeth Taylor biopic starring Rachel Weiss.
