I am the Director of Innovation and Research at Healthy Teen Network, a health education researcher committed to bringing innovation to the field of adolescent sexual and reproductive health. I have over 16 years of experience in the field of research. More recently I have focused on teen use of mobile technology for sexual health promotion. This has led me to develop two smartphone interventions to improve sexual health among young women and test them through two randomized controlled trials across the United States. Through an accelerator program, my team and I are currently developing Wingman—a smartphone keyboard to facilitate sexual conversations among sexting partners to enhance their sexual health. I currently sit at the intersection of sexual health research and digital intervention design, and I am actively exploring how we can provide micro-opportunities for sexual health education through relevant and user-driven digital tools.
