John G. Browning
John Browning is a partner in the Plano, Texas office of Spencer Fane LLP, where he handles a wide variety of civil litigation and appeals in state and federal courts throughout Texas and Oklahoma. A Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Rutgers University, John received his J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law. He is the author of four books on social media and the law, as well as more than 35 law review articles and hundreds of other articles in legal publications. His work has been cited as authority by courts in Texas, California, New York, Florida, Tennessee, Maryland, and Puerto Rico, as well as by practice guides in at least a dozen states. John serves as an adjunct professor at SMU Dedman School of Law, and he has been quoted as an expert on social media and the intersection of technology and the law generally by such publications as The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, TIME magazine, WIRED, the ABA Journal, Legaltech News, Law 360, and Texas Lawyer.
