Chris founded Miller Nash Graham & Dunn's cannabis team when the State of Washington became first in the nation to legalize adult use cannabis in 2012, making Miller Nash Graham & Dunn one of the first large regional law firms to welcome cannabis-related businesses to the client fold. With that foresight, Chris now leads the team across the firm’s four offices (Seattle, Portland OR, Vancouver WA, and Long Beach CA) and has been able to shape and witness the changing regulatory landscape across multiple jurisdictions. Chris represents start-up and established cannabis businesses across all segments of the industry as well as related businesses, such as banks, branding companies, consultants, software developers, real estate developers, and investors with their transactional, regulatory, and licensing needs. Chris also works with local and national hemp cultivators and CBD manufacturers and is attuned to 2018 Farm Bill state and federal implementation and FDA’s foray into CBD regulation.
