Melek Dexter

Melek Dexter, Founder and CEO of ReUp Management Inc and CEO of Mouth Peace Dental, has
become one of Atlanta’s prominent entrepreneurs. His eclectic portfolio of vegan restaurants,
health food grocery stores, commercial/residential real estate ventures as well as a chain of
community-based dental practices all reflect his commitment to being a thoughtful, conscious
partner to the community and shifting the narrative of urban areas towards sustainable health
and wellness spaces.
After graduating from DeVry University’s Keller School of Technology, Melek spent 15 years in
the California underground cannabis industry. He eventually transitioned to advocacy and
activism, with a focus on DE-gentrifying the above-ground drug economy where Black people
are incredibly underrepresented. Over the last 3 years, Melek has become one of the most
active voices for Black people in the emerging above-ground cannabis industry.
