Jane Alexander
As Chief Digital Information Officer for The Cleveland Museum of Art (CMA). Jane is responsible for creating iterative digital projects that support a vision for innovation, technology implementation, and digital transformation as part of the CMA’s mission. Jane oversees the design and implementation of interactive experiences, as well as backend applications and infrastructure.
Under her leadership, the CMA completed the award-winning Gallery One and the revolutionary mobile app that transformed the museum into one of the most technologically advanced and engaging art destinations in the world. In 2019, Jane led the CMA’s comprehensive Open Access initiative, which allows the public to share, collaborate, remix, and reuse high resolution images of 30,000 public-domain artworks and metadata for 61,000 artworks for commercial and non-commercial purposes. In September 2019, CMA launched the latest version of ARTLENS Gallery, that includes 3D scanning of artworks and photogrammetry.
