Siciliana Trevino
Siciliana is an award-winning filmmaker and AR/VR producer. She is the creator and designer of Ice Breakers, the multiplayer mobile AR game that breaks down communication barriers and encourages positive social interactions. Her Kickstarter funded 360 video and documentary work has screened at festivals nationwide, including the 2016 Mill Valley Film Festival.
Siciliana started OffPlanet VR, Berkeley’s first VR meetup to connect the city’s creatives exploring immersive tech before the commercial launch of the Oculus Rift.
In 2017 she became a Co-chair for ARVR Women and Allies where she launched the group’s Futurist in Residence program to increase multicultural leadership in immersive media. Funded by the Center for Cultural Innovation with support from the Kenneth Rainin Foundation, the program puts state-of-the-art augmented reality headsets Magic Leap One and HoloLens 2 in the hands of women of color artists to gauge their impact on art, design and the future.
