Andy Campbell
Andy Campbell, PhD, is an art and design historian, critic, and curator. With more than a decade of experience in higher education and museum institutions, Campbell's projects focus on the juncture of identity-based political movement, visual culture, and art's histories. He is the author of Queer X Design: 50 Years of Signs, Symbols, Banners, Logos, and Graphic Art of LGBTQ (Black Dog and Leventhal); Bound Together: Leather, Sex, Archives, and Contemporary Art (Manchester University Press); and co-editor of Ron Athey: Queer Communion (Intellect Press). He lives in Long Beach and is an Assistant Professor of Critical Studies at USC-Roski School of Art and Design.
