Susan Stevens
Susan Stevens is the mother of Jorian Stevens, an Eagle Scout in the NC National Guard and Toria Stevens who died January 22, 2018 from an overdose. In the months since Toria died, Susan founded Tealdrops, Inc. a 501c3 non-profit with a vision of a global end to opioid-misuse. She started speaking out with her “I am a TRE” campaign, using Tealize, Realize and Energize to motivate others into action and solutions to Addiction. By making Teal the international color of addiction to bring awareness and reduce stigma, she has Tealized one town at a time. Susan helps others Realize the misconceptions and get educated, while Energizing crowds to join the cause. She branched out quickly by speaking in Birmingham, Miami, Orlando, Raleigh and Washington DC and Susan is still growing in her passion to end the epidemic and become part of the solution to the Opioid Crisis. Like a palm tree, she bends but does not break in her touching story of courage and strength in the face of tragedy.
