David Paydarfar

David Paydarfar, M.D., is the inaugural chair of Neurology at Dell Medical School and director of the Mulva Clinic for the Neurosciences. Formerly, he was at the University of Massachusetts Medical School and the Wyss Institute at Harvard. He holds a B.S. in physics from Duke and an M.D. from UNC-Chapel Hill, with a neurology residency at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School. A fellow of the American Neurological Association, his clinical research focuses on novel biosensors and algorithms for tracking patient health. His basic research, funded by NIH, NSF, and Clayton Foundation, investigates neural oscillators and their role in disorders like apnea and epilepsy.
