Moredreck Chibi
Dr. Moredreck Chibi is the Regional Advisor for Health Innovation at the World Health Organization Regional Office for Africa (Brazzaville, Congo). He works directly with the WHO Regional Director for Africa on designing and implementing WHO programming across 47 member states and serves as a primary interface between the Regional Office in Africa and WHO Headquarters in Geneva.
Dr. Chibi is the creator and lead of the WHO Africa Innovation Challenge, a program that launched in November 2018 with the goal of ultimately identifying and recognizing the top 30 healthcare innovators improving access to quality healthcare in Africa. The inaugural challenge attracted over 2,400 applications from 77 countries, and he is leading the future development of the challenge through creation of a web-based WHO Africa Innovation Platform.
Dr. Chibi earned his Ph.D. in medical biochemistry from the University of the Western Cape (South Africa) and his MBA in Innovation from EPFL (Switzerland).
