Christine O'connell
Dr. Christine O’Connell is an expert in the field of science communication and building empathetic leaders and organizations. She is currently the Executive Director of Riley’s Way Foundation, an organization whose mission is to empower the next generation of kind leaders. Previously, she was the founding Associate Director and a professor at the Alan Alda Center for Communicating Science where she helped create and build the Center and its empathy-based curriculum to international acclaim. Under her direction the Alda Center’s workshop program trained tens of thousands of scientists worldwide to be more effective communicators. She received her BS from Cornell University and PhD at Stony Brook University. Her research focuses on best practices in science communication and women in STEM.
