Us Kids

After 17 of the Stoneman Douglas High School community are taken by senseless gun violence, students organize a protest in Parkland, Florida – giving voice to their rage and transforming it into action. Us Kids follows this group of teenage activists over the course of 18 months as they set out across the country to reinvigorate the debate on gun reform, building an inclusive, unprecedented movement and shocking a stagnant political system into change.

From Kim A. Snyder, director of the Peabody Award-winning documentary Newtown, comes an insightful, rousing coming-of-age story of a generation, allowing the movement's leaders to give the definitive account of what it means to be a young person living in a country terrorized by gun violence. Us Kids is an elegy for those who have been lost, a dedication to its survivors, and a rallying cry to join the fight.
