Gentrification & Inclusive Smart Human Cities Meet Up
In general, today we see a disappearance of a middle class society. The world is in a big shift going through a digital revolution and globalization. In addition, lots of people are on the move, fleeing their countries for several reasons: climate change or political climate, to name a few. Cities need to prepare for diversity and growth being socially inclusive.
As San Francisco or the bigger area Silicon Valley is the epicenter of these digital changes and developments, it suffers the most from the gap between rich and poor. We will use this case as a conversation starter to look at the future of smart human cities. With the evolution of technologies today, we can measure almost everything. How are we going to use these technologies wisely and transparently, including ethics and accountability?
