The Last Stargazers: The Evolution of Astronomy
How can we photograph a black hole? Can we find one star hidden inside another? What will the next generation of telescopes reveal about the cosmos? This session will share the science and adventures behind what it's like to be a professional astronomer and work at the world's cutting-edge observatories. An audience of space and science enthusiasts will learn about how modern observatories are run, hear some of the many incredible stories from the astronomy community about living and working at telescope, and explore the transformative developments facing astronomy in a world of commercial space flight, machine learning, automation, and our planet's changing climate.
