Duty Bound: Why the DoD Should Embrace Cannabis
The US Department of Defense has the opportunity to save the lives of active duty and veteran service-members, advance medical research, and boost national defense by allowing cannabis research and allowing active-duty military use. Nearly two decades of warfare have led to epidemic levels of post-traumatic stress, suicide, homelessness, and substance abuse amongst our nation’s war fighters. It’s costing our nation more than just billions of dollars, we're losing valuable lives. Cannabis has the potential to stop these tragedies before they occur – alleviating both mental and physical traumas and save American taxpayers billions. During our panel we’ll dive into the specific individual, national, and even global benefits of allowing for active duty cannabis use in the US military.
