Featured Session: Magnolia Network: Building a Platform for Storytelling
In 2013, Chip and Joanna Gaines were introduced to television audiences across the US as the hosts of the hit HGTV series Fixer Upper. Since then, the husband and wife duo have grown their Waco, Texas-based home and lifestyle brand, Magnolia, into an empire spanning retail, bestselling books, an award-winning quarterly magazine, and much more. Magnolia Market at the Silos, the site of their sprawling brick-and-mortar retail store, welcomed more than 1.5 million visitors in 2018 alone. In early October, the Gaineses are set to launch their very own linear TV network, Magnolia Network, which will feature unique, inspiring, family-friendly programming across home, family, food, design, gardening, travel, art, and entrepreneurship. They will also unveil an OTT-powered, direct-to-consumer product—which will feature live and VOD content inspired by the Magnolia brand—at a date to be announced later.
In this rare public appearance, join Chip and Joanna as they discuss their roles as Chief Creative Officers for this new joint-venture, sharing insights around and the challenges (and rewards) they face as they work to bring Magnolia Network to life.
