Featured Session: A Blueprint for Cannabis Legalization Nationwide

Date TBA

Please be aware that cannabis and related laws vary. Programming in this track is designed to inform attendees about this fast-changing industry, and does not promote the use or sale of illegal drugs.

Rep. Earl Blumenauer, founder and co-chair of the Congressional Cannabis Caucus, will be joined by POLITICO Federal Cannabis Reporter Natalie Fertig to discuss the path forward in Congress for legalizing cannabis. Blumenauer authored a blueprint that outlines a role every relevant congressional committee plays in reforming federal cannabis policy. Blumenauer and Fertig will discuss the legislative outlook in Congress for legalization. They will also explore the changing cannabis policy landscape as more states incorporate regulatory frameworks and implement restorative justice policies for communities most impacted by the war on drugs.

Programming descriptions are generated by participants and do not necessarily reflect the opinions of SXSW.
