Zappa: Behind the Scenes of the Definitive Documentary
The Zappa documentary was five years in the making and the first film to have complete access to the Zappa vault: a treasure trove of material that has mostly never been seen or heard before. The project began with a record-breaking crowdfund campaign that raised over a million dollars in order to preserve the endangered film and audio in the vault. Join key members of the filmmaking team for an in-depth discussion of this unique and challenging project: Director/Producer Alex Winter, Editor Mike J. Nichols, Supervising Producer Devorah Devries, Sound Supervisor/Designer Lon Bender and Composer John Frizzell.
