Featured Session: Preventing the Next Pandemic: How IDseq Can Help

Disease knows no borders. An emerging outbreak in one country can quickly affect surrounding nations and potentially the world. Chan Zuckerberg Biohub Co-President, Joe DeRisi and Tested.com editor-in-chief, Adam Savage will discuss the Biohub’s recent launch of IDseq—a free, cloud-based tool to help scientists and global health workers more quickly identify, track, and stop disease outbreaks. The ultimate vision is for IDseq to be a dashboard of real-time global pathogen detection, empowering data-driven decisions about how to better manage antibiotics, where to prioritize immunization campaigns, and how to shape infectious diseases control and surveillance efforts. This could be a major step forward in our ability to cure, prevent, or manage all disease.
