How Artists Are Driving Culture
From brand collaborations to limited-edition apparel to commissioned murals, artists have permeated the corporate world. This panel will highlight a variety of voices—the artist, the corporate brand, the curator, and the agent—all of whom navigate what it means to make and present art in contemporary culture. They will speak to the various ways in which artists live within the realm of brands, galleries, and online platforms and topics explored include how artists can best work with brands (and brands with artists), where the moral responsibility lies for artists working in a commercial world, and how social media has shifted how artists operate and create, and the dynamic role that art plays in today's society.
