CLE - Making the Music Modernization Act Work
In 2018, the entire music industry celebrated the Music Modernization Act (MMA), the most significant copyright reform in a generation. This landmark law contains provisions impacting songwriters, recording artists, and studio professionals. Each section has its own timeline and steps for implementation. More than a year later, what is the status of the MMA? Have music creators started to benefit? A panel of policy makers and stakeholders who were involved in creating the MMA will discuss its implementation, including progress that has already been made and challenges that still remain.
