For decades, video games were bought in brick and mortar stores. Then, players began downloading games directly to their consoles. Now publishers are eyeing a new age, where games are streamed instantaneously to whatever screen the players are in front of. It's a Netflix-like model that could radically change how we play games in the near future.
Stadia's Jade Raymond, and longtime game journalist Chris Morris, will discuss Google's plans to revolutionize the industry, near- and long-term challenges, and ways it can differentiate itself from competitors. Raymond, who played key roles in the creation of the Assassin’s Creed and Watch Dogs franchises, will also discuss her plans to build out a library of exclusive content for the brand.
