Fertility is a 30-year chronic condition affecting over 50% of the population. Basic research in contraceptive science hasn't moved forward since the original hormonal cocktail was invented, and 45% of pregnancies in the US are unintended. The current menu of contraceptive products, which are beneficial to many women, remain an imperfect offering and neither delight nor adequately protect millions of women from unintended pregnancy. Women need better contraceptives, which are female-controlled and non-hormonal for the many stages of their reproductive journey from 14-44! What are the latest innovations "at the bench" that could change the face of contraception for our daughters and granddaughters? What will it take to develop this science into products for everyone who needs it?
