This session will include an honest conversation with Venmo Co-founder Iqram Magdon Ishmael and Candice Cook Simmons on what happens after a successful exit and the responsibility in this era of using platforms to elevate others and instituting change in systems from within. In their discussion, Ishmael will discuss his history as a co-founder of Venmo, his move into entertainment and music through his sound platform Ense, his acquisition of a music studio to influence art and culture, and his decision to democratize access to capital to underrepresented founders in an effort to bring more voices, positions, thought leaders, dialogue, and the visibility of brilliance from diverse leaders in the business, tech, and entertainment space.
