Harnessing the Holodeck: VR, Work & Society
The power of agency, presence, storytelling, and the ability to engage with others over large distances enhance the intensity of VR experiences. By harnessing these features, virtual reality platforms can change the way we interact with others in the workplace and in social spaces. Virtual social experiences, work and education will also become more experiential and accessible as VR technology proliferates. Nevertheless, the VR industry will have to overcome technological barriers and navigate policy challenges to be able to reach its potential. This panel explores how VR will transform work, learning and socialization to allow people to find meaning in the Metaverse.
