Now is the best time in human history to launch a sports startup. Many opportunities will be created given the combination of disruptive technologies, segmentation of entertainment and the low cost of starting businesses. Over 60% of Americans self-identify as sports fans.
Clearly, there are limited startup opportunities directly in the big pro sports unless you have an extra $250 million in the bank. Nevertheless, we do a deep dive into five areas rich in possibility.
