Design is everywhere. A design isn't just what it looks like in a given moment. It has to do with the entire experience of using a particular product or service. No matter where he’s traveled in his decades-long career Ian Spalter’s always been fascinated with how we interact with the objects in our daily lives. It’s what made him the ideal leader for such projects as the Nike+ FuelBand, or the 2016 redesign of Instagram’s now-famous logo. Scott Dadich is an award-winning designer, former editor in chief of WIRED, creator and executive producer of Netflix’s Abstract: The Art of Design. This conversation will expand on the ideas explored in the episode Dadich directed featuring Spalter -- the boundaries of design, the attention economy and the importance of wifi-free diversions.
