Transportation in an Evolving Mobility Landscape
The mobility landscape across America’s communities is changing at a pace never seen before. Observers have commented that there has been more change in transportation over the last 10 years than in the previous 75. Every day technologists, innovators, and entrepreneurs are experimenting with new ways to move people through and around their communities: from scooter-sharing to integrated apps that give travelers access to a suite of mobility options. Through it all, traditional public transit service continues to serve as a backbone of this mobility network. This session will discuss how communities can prepare for these multimodal options that support economic vitality and mobility for all, and how transit can redefine itself in this new ecosystem.
