Featured Session: Journalism 2030 - Keeping Independent Media Alive
Join two of the world’s leading thinkers on journalism to discuss how we can overcome the many forces that are undermining independent reporting. We’ll be talking about what news media will look like over the next 10 years, and what we can do - as individuals, journalists, and funders - to influence it. Think: authoritarian attacks on press freedom, the evolving relationship between audiences and journalists, the (lack of) funding for in-depth investigations, and the love-hate relationship between journalism and technology. It’ll be a mix of data-driven trends, wild speculation, solution analysis, and democracy therapy.
