Robots & Automation: Happier Healthcare Workplaces

There is an increasing shortage of nurses. The state of Texas alone will face a shortage of 70,000 registered nurses in 2020. With a growing need to improve the workflows of overworked nurses and help them enjoy their work again, hospitals are adopting new automation technologies like robot assistants that are designed to improve hospital jobs. By helping with hospital staff’s non-patient facing tasks like gathering patient room supplies, robot assistants help staff have more time for patient care and patients get more time with those taking care of them. This panel will bring together a healthcare technologist, hospital executive and hospital director to discuss the future of robotics and automation in healthcare.
