Social Change to My Ears: Music for Impact

Date TBA

Music can move you to dance. It can move you to tears. But can it move you to act? When Taylor Swift asked her 112 million Instagram followers to register to vote, a surge of millions of young people signed up. LGBTQ+ artists like Hayley Kiyoko who speak openly about their identity & integrate it into their art creates visibility & representation which helps fans feel accepted & included. When musicians take on critical issues like Logic did with mental health awareness and suicide prevention, they will not only create progress but also a lifeline for those struggling. With musicians taking more of a stance on social issues & anthemic songs creating real social impact, how do brands, nonprofits & marketers work together with artists, labels & reps to generate meaningful & lasting change.
