The US is now officially in its longest period of economic expansion (120 months). However, the income gap is the largest it has ever been with the top 40% of U.S. households taking 74.3% of income. The reason: the gig economy is being fueled by exploitation, labor workers are being devalued, and we’re witnessing record low unionizations. We will explore the modernization of the labor market and how today’s startups are poised to create systems that allow the underrepresented and overworked to take control of their economic identity and future.
