From the Screen to the Streets: Media & Activism

Date TBA

Amidst the noise of 2020, how can creative media stories have meaningful social and political impact? Jamie, Charmion, and Will have worked with film, TV, and digital engagement projects that have reached tens of millions of people through Netflix, Discovery, MTV, PBS, the White House, political campaigns, and more. They will share inside stories of how advocates, storytellers, productions companies, and distributors have successfully worked together to inspire social and political change from the global to the local. They will unpack common misunderstandings about “impact” and discuss how meaningful stories can most strategically be positioned in today's media and political landscape. They will share tips for finding the right champions and audiences for your story.
