Putting the Brakes on Human Trafficking
Is human trafficking in your community? All signs point to yes. This Modern day slavery affects every city, suburb and rural area in the U.S., as traffickers claim more than 21 million victims globally and generate $150 billion annually. SEPTA General Manager and former PennDOT Secretary Leslie S. Richards, Acting Administrator of the Federal Transit Administration Jane Williams, and the Director of Villanova’s Commercial Sexual Exploitation Institute Shea Rhodes are on a mission to put the brakes on trafficking in the vast transportation networks. They will share best-in-class programs, which can be deployed to agencies and organizations across the country.
