Never Too Far

Mollie Anderson, or more recognizably known as “Mollie Jay,” is an Urban-Pop artist capitalizing on singing, songwriting and rapping. The aspiring artist grew up in Prince George’s County, directly outside of D.C.—an environment that has inspired her fervor and drive towards the urban music scene. With heavy influence from the Hip-Hop, Street Rap and R&B/Neo-Soul communities, as well as Pop artists such as Sting, Steal, Phil Collins and Michael Jackson, Mollie Jay garnered a passion for blending seemingly opposed genres. Ms. Jay was part of bands, advanced choirs, and singing competitions through middle school and high school. She moved to South Florida where she received a scholarship to major in music with Vocal emphasis at Palm Beach Atlantic University. Shortly after she was signed to an independent label that eventually went under. Her debut single, "Glass on the Dancefloor," was picked up by major pop and RnB blogs at the time. Her biggest success thus far is her hit EDM single, 'Shine,' that landed at number 21 on the Billboard Dance charts.
Mollie Jay is currently living in Los Angeles and is excited to be performing at SXSW this year! Debut album '(K)now Better' April2020
