Eliza Legzdina
Eliza Legzdina AKA Legz is a brand-spanking-new artist with the titles poet, vocalist and DJ to her name. Legz is currently DJing for Moonchild Sanelly, curating poetry nights at Say It Back, and working on her solo material with an EP, Iron Curtain Golden Pussy due to drop in April.
With unexpected roots in Opera and Baroque performance, a young Eliza Legzdina started her musical career with an operatic singing scholarship to university before London got its dirty claws into her pure soul. During her masters in music (including Arabic music and el-tarab singing) the East London scene twisted her sound into something brilliantly filthy, and from the rubble of innocence emerged Legz.
Eliza Legzdina was influenced by Joni Mitchell and Erykah Badu, developing a soft feminine sound before her alter ego Legz got her into Megan Thee Stallion, Missy Elliot, Lil Kim and the newest queens of Atlanta rap.
The result of this internal battle is Legz’ sound - fierce, feminine, sexy and honest. Think alternative rnb & hiphop beats layered with jazz vocals and explicit poetry.
