Dutch producers Lukas Amer and Sjoerd Huissoon fortuitously met one another at the Conservatory of Rotterdam in 2017, which led to the formation of Amy Root — an artist project established in 2018 characterised by a collective enthusiasm for emotive beats, exhilarating harmonies and diverse global influences.

Amy Root debuted their sensational show with two very special gigs at Amsterdam Dance Event in 2018. Performing to a packed out Melkweg and ITTW Festival before they’d released even a single record, these two shows proved to be the perfect introduction to their inaugural EP ‘Lynn’.

Signing to Earth Agency shortly afterwards, following a wave of international acclaim off the back of their EP ‘Elif’, the year that followed proved to be nothing short of monumental for Lukas and Sjoerd. From live performances on Dutch national radio, Gigs on some of the most credible festivals in The Netherlands, to supporting Maribou State at two sold out shows in Amsterdam and Brussels – Amy Root had well and truly arrived.
