Antonio Lizana
Antonio Lizana, in San Fernando, province of Cádiz, one of the cradles of flamenco singing.
After finishing his jazz degree, he released his first album as a leader, “De Viento” (2012) and there begins a career that has already led him to play at jazz and flamenco festivals around the world; United States, China, Germany, Holland, Italy, Austria, Morocco, Mali, India, Cuba, Costa Rica, Peru…. Always with his compositions, his saxophone and his voice, and transmitting his emotions through the lyrics.
Meanwhile, two more albums are released, “Quimeras Del Mar” (2015) and “Oriente” 2017, all of them released with Sony Music Spain.
Lizana has collaborated with artists such as Arturo O'Farrill (recording that was awarded with Latin Grammy), Chano Domínguez, Alejandro Sanz, India Martínez, Marcus Miller, Jorge Pardo, Shai Maestro, Chambao, José Mercé, Snurky Puppy and a many others.
Currently, his band is a reference in this music that rides between flamenco, jazz and world music. Antonio will present a record in the month of April 2020, after touring through 16 countries, 4 continents doing 87 concerts in 2019.
