Cousin Tony's Brand New Firebird
Cousin Tony’s Brand New Firebird are, unequivocally, a Melbourne band. “We’re deeply proud of being a Melbourne band,” says frontman, chief songwriter and founding member Lachlan Rose. “Being part of the scene is a big part of our story.”
Joining Rose, (on lead vocals, guitar, and keys ), in Cousin Tony’s are Francesca Gonzales (vocals and keys) , Nick Reid (Drums), Peter Simonsen (vocals/guitar ) and Matthew Hayes (Bass). Since releasing several acclaimed EPs (“Queen of Hearts” and “Melbourne Bitter” ), and the debut album, “Electric Brown” (2018), Cousin Tony's have built a devoted following in their homeland, selling out venues , and appearing at festivals, nationwide. The band recently toured the UK , playing shows in London, Glasgow, Dublin, Manchester and appearing at “The Great Escape” Festival in Brighton. Cousin Tony's Brand New Firebird may be a Melbourne band , but word is now getting out about " the 'bird ", worldwide.
Landing less than a year after their debut album ‘Electric Brown’, they have just released their 2nd LP, titled ‘New Romancer", to wide acclaim.
