With the TikTok-assisted viral explosion of “Love Songs,” and the added momentum from her sincere debut project, Parked Car Convos, success for 19-year old Kaash Paige has come quick, and to some extent, unexpectedly. But if there’s been any constant in the past year, it’s Kaash's homegrown sense of self.
Growing up in Dallas, Texas, Kaash’s passion for music and sports stuck out from day one. She played softball, basketball, and even ran track, but eventually chose music, partially inspired by her father, who was an engineer. “He had all this production equipment in the closet. He would ask me to make a song, but I was scared.” As time went on and Kaash began to experiment with her own creative process, she quickly turned her life-long interest into a hobby and eventually, a dream.
Then came high school. "When I went to high school, I was really trying to find myself, trying to get in the loop with everyone. I couldn’t really fit in with any of them, but I was always around because I would be dancing. I was always T’d up, just more turnt than everybody else. “
