Perched inside their home studio, Harvey Geraghty (vocals, guitar, keyboard) and Itay Shachar (vocals, guitar), fuse scuzzy guitars and sombre piano tones into music reminiscent of Grandaddy and Smile-era Beach Boys. Together with their dynamic rhythm section Blake Wise (bass) and Noah Martin (drums) they form The Lazy Eyes.
‘Cheesy Love Song’ is their debut single. The song is a journey of loving vulnerability, where warm piano and strings rise from a bed of synths and warped guitars. The Lazy Eyes' carefully crafted psychedelic rock has built a cult following in their hometown of Sydney, heralding the group as one of the “bands who stole the show at Bigsound” last year and winning fans in triple j and the BBC’s Abbie McCarthy.
