Formed by Gray Tolhurst (son of Lol Tolhurst [The Cure]), Jeremie Ruest, and Justin Oronos, the band meshes 90’s shoegaze with the urgency and mechanical rhythms of post-punk. Their debut EP was produced at New, Improved Recording in Oakland, California by Alexis Berthelot (Gojira, Wolfgang Tillmans, Enablers) and contains nods to shoegaze luminaries Slowdive and Chapterhouse as well as post-punk legend The Chameleons, and more contemporary acts like Nothing, Soft Kill, DIIV.
Following a couple of west coast tours and a SXSW debut in 2019 at the Part Time Punks showcase, Topographies is set to release their second EP with DREAM and a single with Sonic Cathedral.
