Howard Belk
Co-CEO and Chief Creative Officer, based in New York, Howard Belk is Co-CEO and Chief Creative Officer of Siegel+Gale. During his 15-year tenure with the firm, it has nearly quadrupled in size, established a global network and become one of the largest strategic branding firms in the world.
Over the past 25 years he has served scores of Fortune 500, C-Suite clients, helping them compete and win by leveraging simplicity to engage customers and employees.
As Siegel+Gale’s Chief Creative Officer, Howard challenges design teams across the globe to bring humanity to brands. “Doing this for dynamic global organizations,” he notes, “requires supreme simplicity.”
A prominent figure in the industry, Howard has led global branding teams that have received international recognition and scores of awards. He sees an extraordinary future for organizations at the nexus of change in health, energy, technology and communications. His work includes programs for Pfizer, Novartis, CVS Health, Aramco, Hewlett Packard, SAP, Verizon, and the Free Library of Philadelphia.
Earlier in his career, Howard founded a marketing services agency that was acquired by Omnicom in 2001. Following that he stayed in the Omnicom Group, moving to Siegel+Gale in 2004.
Howard is frequently quoted by the media regarding branding and design issues, and speaks at conferences on topics ranging from the influence of brand on talent to why people pay more for simpler experiences.
Howard earned a bachelor of fine arts at Philadelphia’s University of the Arts, where he later served as a guest professor. He completed Omnicom’s Senior Management and Graduate Management Programs at Babson College. He is a Trustee on the Board of University of the Arts and former outside Director of apparel manufacturer Kahn Lucas Lancaster.
