Nina is a young, introspective girl, who is blossoming to understand the world and mold her own perceptions. Her neighbor Regina, is a middle-aged woman who is crass and even sometimes vulnerable.
During a babysitting session, Regina takes the opportunity to explain to Nina the world of intimacy and love. From Regina’s twisted allegory, we begin to understand everyone's life is a compilation of questionable decisions and everlasting memories. But through Nina’s muted observation, we see there is more depth and secrets that she holds within herself.

On July 7, 2009, Michael Jackson’s funeral captures the attention of an entire nation when it broadcasts throughout The Philippines. That same day, Boy Manatad buys a "son" who can drink and smoke to impress his hyper-masculine father, Rodrigo. However, when Rodrigo and his friends take to the child as one their own, Boy is forced to come to terms with his own insecurities...and Michael Jackson.
