It’s news to no one that the retail landscape has changed dramatically. The rise of e-commerce has forced the industry to rapidly innovate to meet consumers’ expectations. We hear a lot about those that have been unable to adapt; store closures and bankruptcies are not uncommon. That said, we now hear more about brands like Away, Apple, and even Amazon investing in brick-and-mortar and transforming the in-store shopping experience.
Gone are the malls built around dingy department stores and food courts. Digitally native brands are expanding their physical footprint, and new shopping centers are popping up that combine retail and dining with residential and community spaces. In this session, we’ll hear how retail leaders create experiences that bring consumers back to brick-and-mortar.
