More than half of large cities in the United States are preparing for or already piloting Autonomous Vehicles (AV), leading the way with regard to understanding how this technology and the services these companies provide can positively impact mobility for all. AV companies and fleet operators such as Ford, GM, and Lyft are testing and deploying on public roads in cities – a trend that will continue until self-driving cars are commonplace. AVs have the potential to greatly impact many of the strategic outcomes cities care most about – such as equity, accessibility and inclusion. However, a provider’s go-to-market strategies and business needs may or may not match up to what a city wants. Is there a way we can both get what we want?

The City of Austin’s AV Expert will ask a panel of AV companies a series of questions similar to that of the popular TV game show of old. Hear what traits the City of Austin is interested in for AV partners and a discussion on how the partnerships Austin is building can enable mutually beneficial outcomes on both sides.
