Using successful practices in the US, ICMA has designed programs focusing on local government’s part in crime & violence prevention. Applying this city-led approach to 32 municipalities in Central America & Mexico, local leaders leverage multiple sectors of community and government, including national secretariats, to build a unified deterrent to violence & crime. Join ICMA’s Carlos Lora Chaves to learn how to unify the community to take steps in improving quality of life & citizen security.
This session is part of the Focus15 block centered around the topic Building Local Communities for a Global Population, with an emphasis on resident benefit.
