Ready to meet the next generation’s design and tech entrepreneurs? Join us for Design Day: “If not now then when?” on March 12 from 9AM– 4PM at the New Dutch Wave house during SXSW 2019. This dynamic event hosts several design talks from top notch pioneers as well as panel discussions on circularity, sustainability and digital data. This event is part of a Dutch mission to share overseas design and tech solutions and is initiated by New Dutch Wave (NDW) and Dutch Design Foundation (DDF).
Listen to Dutch tech design stories on how to use design creativity for social innovation, how smart textiles can enhance social engagement and improve health care, and how to create a better future with bio-based materials. Participate in panel talks on open source systems, circular design, and the intersection of technology and design. Hear about the best in Dutch Digital Design and key projects, including ‘Lockdown’ by Code D’Azur and the talk 'What's so Dutch about our digital design?' by Fabrique.
Hungering to learn more? Curiosity piqued? Then join the designers for an after-talk happy hour during “Drinks with Designers” at 4 PM after the talks conclude. We look forward to seeing you there.
