Hailing from San Marcos, Texas, Rene (formerly known as Kid Evo) is a newcomer to the music scene, but far from new to making music. Creating music from the age of 12, Rene wrote songs and melodies that came from his experiences and now serve as a foundation for his unique R&B style. It's the realness in his music and the sharing of personal stories and circumstances that prompted the recent name change from Kid Evo to his real name, Rene. "I feel like I make real music that's personal and relatable, for that reason I didn't feel right going by an alias anymore. I want my fans to feel like they know the real me." Rene represents the renaissance in the R&B realm. While his persona is modest and may appear shy, when he gets on stage, he shows that he's earned his place among his musical peers. He plans to continue releasing music, videos, and content in the coming months, with the possibility of touring nationally on the horizon.
